Acadiana Safety Association is recognized as the leader in the safety movement in Acadiana and Southwest Louisiana.  As a Charter Member of the American Association of Safety Councils and a member of the National Safety Council, ASA works in all areas of accident prevention, with a special emphasis on industrial and transportation safety.  Members benefit by belonging to an organization with national affiliations and local roots.  ASA is devoted to saving lives, time and money by preventing accidents and occupational illnesses.

Founded in 1960, we are a 501-C-3 non-profit organization with a mission to educate and influence the public to adopt and practice safety & health policies.   We are made up of over 350 members, ranging from offshore personnel to business professionals.  Our members have one thing in common — concern for improving safety and preventing injuries.

We are also the Acadiana Chapter of SafeKids Worldwide, a non-profit world-wide organization dedicated to preventing accidental injury & death in children.  We can be seen frequently visiting day care centers and schools, educating children on all aspects of safety, from water to internet, bicycle and driving!  If you are interested in having us visit your school or day care center, please call or email us.

The Board supervises the direction of Acadiana Safety Association.  The Board consists of 11 members, representing a broad array of certified and accredited professionals: Certified Safety Professionals, Attorneys, Safety Directors and Managers, Medical Director, Safety Consultants, Certified Public Accountant, and Environmental Health & Safety Director, and all located throughout Acadiana and Louisiana.
